We present an easy version of a cocktail found on a new drinks list. This is a party-sized prepared mix that's bursting with the essence associated with holiday season, rendering it excellent for a celebration. Reserve the remaining cordial for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix additional servings of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Drink (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Instructions
For the Syrup: Put every components in a pot, bring to a light boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, turn off the stove allowing it to cool completely. Decant to a clean bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for about one month.
To make Cocktail Base: Combine every spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, let it rest for 60 minutes, then pass it through , ideally through a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the cocktail base into your mixing glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds until cold. Pour into an cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with the cranberries adding the final touch with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the top.
